GRATITUDE LIST CONTINUES...
16) THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS AUTO RICKSHAWS WHERE I LIVE!
17) The Environment—there is an increasing awareness about pollution here. Delhi reminded me of what NYC was like in the ‘80s. Not fun. Not fun atall.
18) We have Street Signs!
19) Toilet Paper in Public Bathrooms—amazing how something seemingly so small but so major that I have taken SO for granted would become such an issue & a matter of remembering to carry wads of paper at all times. Easier said, not always done. YIKES!
20) Clean Plastic on Bottles of Water—every bottle of water I bought was so dirty there.
21) Clean Plastic Covering Toilet Paper—just like the water bottles being dirty, the same went for the plastic on toilet paper. Eek. Now in all fairness, I wasn’t shopping in supermarkets for these items. Did I just say in all fairness?
I realized I live a privileged life & really had nothing to complain or be craggy about. I realized I had taken so much for granted. Now I’m not sayin’ I sang Kumbaya for the rest of my stay, there were days I was blown up like a hornet's nest, but on this particular day I was turning the curve as to how I saw this trip, these experiences. A classic case of the glass half empty, half full. I have made so many new friends who shared so much.
LIFE. It’s all in the perspective one chooses to take in any given moment.
